"Wonderful 3-bedroom villa with pool, located on the charming island of Madeira, with stunning sea views on a plot of 850 m2.

The house was designed to easily split into two self-contained units, suitable for letting.  External access to the upper floor is level from the car park and the lower floor can be reached by steps on one side of the house or a ramp allowing wheelchair access on the other side. There is an internal staircase.

The upstairs unit has a large double bedroom opening onto a balcony with views of the garden, surrounding countryside and the ocean, a bathroom, and an open space kitchen/dining/sitting room.

Downstairs has two double bedrooms, a full bathroom with separate shower, and a kitchen/dining/sitting room - with a log burner for those chilly evenings.  

Panoramic sliding windows open onto a covered sitting area and a terrace area with a 14m heated swimming pool and far-reaching views to the coastline and sea.  There is also a large barbeque and a log store.

The house is off a public road with parking for two cars outside and two inside the electric gate.  There is an electric car charging point.  The property has fibre Wi-Fi, water and electricity and a large water storage tank to enable all-year round watering of the extensive gardens.  Under the car parking area is a large storage room with power, water and the washing machine.  Another storeroom houses the solar water heating system (with electric back-up when necessary) and the controls for the irrigation system.

Around the house there are gardens planted with flowering shrubs (hibiscus, camelia, jasmine) and plants.  The main garden (approx. 27m x 15m) has fruit trees (orange, tangerine, plum, fig, grape vines and many others), a hydrangea border and a raised bed (approx. 9m x 1m) for growing vegetables or flowers.  The garden has been grown organically for years.

The village of Cabo, at a height of about 550m above sea level, is exceptionally quiet and beautiful.  It takes under one hour to drive to Funchal. 

The north-west coast is wetter than the south of Madeira but also greener all year round.  There are two ocean viewpoints within easy walking distance, and access to the levada walk (taking you to Ponta do Pargo and Prazeres) within ten minutes.  The house faces the ocean (northwest facing) and has extensive views.  Sunsets are a particular feature and are truly memorable.

The fittings and furnishings are included, as will the kitchen and dining equipment, linen and televisions, so the house can be lived in immediately.
